Claroty Support Engineer

This course is intended specifically for support-level engineers whose role is to perform basic analysis of Claroty software and hardware system issues, and who must understand how and when to troubleshoot (and if necessary, escalate) a technical support scenario.

Upon successfully completing this course, learners:

  • Will have been given a complete basic overview of the Continuous Threat Detection (CTD) solution.

  • Will have been given an introduction to technical support, as applied to Claroty products and systems.

  • Will have been introduced to various ‘must-know’ technical terms used in industrial control systems and the OT arena, and relating to the operation of systems within CTD.

  • Will be familiar with the Passive detection, Active detection and AppDB data-collection methods employed by CTD.

  • Will have been given an overview of CTD ‘Workers’ and their supporting sub-systems.

  • Will have been given an overview of CTD’s logs structure and its workings.

  • Will be familiar with essential ‘everyday’ commands that can be issued through the ClarotyOS.

  • Will be familiar with the essential Linux-based commands used to validate system-health scenarios.

  • Will know how to run the built-in health-check script for sanity testing.

  • Will be able to open support cases as and when needed.

  • Will have been given an overview of the shorthand LKPO_magic commands used within the CTD CLI.

  • Will be able to perform basic CTD troubleshooting.
